Waterford Sand and Gravel (WSG)
Waterford Sand and Gravel was incorporated in 1958 and operates a sand and gravel extraction, processing and sales plant in Waterford, Ontario. WSG has substantial land holdings with aggregate reserves of approximately 8,000,000 tonnes in the local area. Aggregate is extracted from various properties licensed under the Aggregate Resources Act and trucked to the processing plant for separation and washing. WSG prides itself on maintaining the consistency of its products which is very important to our customers.
Vinemount Quarries (VQ)
Vinemount Quarry is situated above the Niagara Escarpment at Stoney Creek, Ontario. Since we acquired the property in 1984 we have been extracting limestone and producing granular products. With aggregate reserves of about 27,000,000 tonnes the quarry will be serving the construction industries in this area well into the future. The high quality of our products and the closeness of major cities and traffic routes ensure continued growth in this market.
Dunnville Rock Products (DRP)
Dunnville, like Vinemount, is a limestone quarry situated in the Niagara Peninsula near Dunnville, Ontario. Waterford Group has been active at this quarry since 1987 and has been sole owner since 2003. With aggregate reserves of about 11,000,000 tonnes Dunnville will continue to serve the contractors in the markets of Haldimand County and the City of Hamilton.
Waterford Crushing and Screening (WCS)
WCS has a large inventory of equipment including front-end loaders, crushing plants, screening plants, conveyors, generators, dozers, and excavators. This company operates in the major steel mills of Southern Ontario and in various ports on the Great Lakes performing a variety of material handling operations.
Canadian Slag Services Inc. (CSSI)
CSSI operates a slag granulation system within a major steel plant. CSSI also sells and markets processed air cooled blast furnace slag and iron.
Canadian Material Handling (CMH)
CMH owns and operates a state of the art 5,000 foot long ship-loading conveyor system, capable of loading vessels at a rate of 3000 net tons per hour. This 48 inch conveyor system is capable of loading a wide variety of steel by-products. This system is located at a major steel mill in Ontario.
Inter County Concrete Products (ICC)
Intercounty Concrete Products is a progressive, quality driven, customer oriented ready-mix concrete company that has operations located in Dunnville and Hamilton Ontario.
Law Crushed Stone
Located in the township of Wainfleet, the original R.E.Law quarry first opened in 1937. Becoming part of the Waterford Group of Companies in 2008, Law Crushed Stone (Division of Waterford Sand & Gravel) is located on Hwy 3, approximately 3kms west of the town of Port Colborne. Law Crushed Stone is situated within the Bois Blanc & Bertie geological formations and has been serving the construction industry with quality material for over 70 years. With reserves in excess of 40,000,000 tonne, Law Crushed Stone will play a strong part in serving the Niagara Region and surrounding Municipalities with high quality material for years to come.
